Phyllis A. Gusick, 73, of Pound passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 3, 2012 of a subdural aneurysm at Aurora BayCare Medical Center, Green Bay. The daughter of the late Walter and Doris (Collins) Sonnenberg was born on December 13, 1938 in Silver Cliff. She was a graduate of Wausaukee High School. On March 18, 1961 she was married to Lionel Gusick. The couple retired from farming in 1993. Phyllis was employed at Gusick Ace Hardware in Pound from 1995 to present. She was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening, sewing, and loved a good bargain. Surviving are two daughters, Sally Beyers of Green Bay and Phyllis “Sis” (Dale) Walker of Pound; 3 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 1 brother, Walter James (Lisa) Sonnenberg of Silver Cliff; 1 sister, Susan (Randy) Laffin of WA; 1 sister-in-law, Mary (Julius) Panske of Porterfield; 1 brother-in-law, Eugene Hoffman of Suring; 2 aunts, Shirley Sonnenberg of Niagara and Myrtle Walker of Crivitz; and an uncle, Jim Sonnenberg of Idaho, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lionel in May 2009; 1 sister, Mabel Sonnenberg, 2 brothers, Donald and Lawrence Sonnenberg. Friends may call at Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, 235 E.
