Andy J. Churka, Jr., 82, Crivitz, died Thursday, June 21, 2012. He was born to the late Andrew, Sr. and Frances (Ochorvic) Churka December 7, 1929 in Milwaukee. Andy served in the U.S. Army. He married Carol Zellner June 19, 1959 in Milwaukee. The couple owned and operated the Driftwood Inn for over 30 years. Carol preceded him in death March 16, 2003. Andy was a member of the Crivitz American Legion. He enjoyed playing cards, pool and telling jokes. Surviving are four daughters, Sue Stika, Middle Inlet; Kathy (David) Aho, White Fish Bay; Debbie (Steve) Ahrens, Middle Inlet; Carol “Kitty” (Derick) Paider, Crivitz; four grandchildren, Harry, Brian, Marissa, and Dustin and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister, Elizabeth Schneider and one son-in-law, Eddie Stika. Friends may call at the Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, 801 George St., Crivitz Saturday, June 30th from 3 P.M. until the time of Memorial Services at 5 P.M. at the funeral home with Pastor Nick Johannes officiating.
