Ethel Thressa Snyder

Ethel T. Snyder 87, Iron Mountain passed away peacefully with her family by her side Saturday August 4, 2012 at HCR Manor Care, Kingsford, MI. She was born on February 12, 1925 in Oconto to the late Clifford and Thressa (Ama) LeMay. On August 26, 1944 Ethel married Earl Snyder at St. Josephs Catholic Church, Oconto. They lived in and raised their family at Oak Orchard. She was a Cook and Nurse’s Aid at two nursing homes. Ethel and Earl wintered in Florida for many years and she enjoyed perch fishing, crafting, and will be remembered for the special dishes that she cooked or baked. Survivors include her husband of 68 years Earl; children Gloria (Clifford) Sandberg, Oconto; Mary Snyder, Tarpon Springs, FL; Steve Snyder, Crivitz; Amy Anders, Iron Mountain; William Snyder, Chilton; grandchildren Stacey Pepin and special friend Jeremie Ottoson; Jennifer (Justin) Burgemeier; Kim Wilson and special friend Brandon Michaud; Shannon (Brian) Osmon; Tara Sandberg and special friend Bobby Noack; great-grandchildren Brittnay, Brandon, Kacey, Corey, Bradly, Brianna, Braylee, and Cooper. A brother Melvin (Mona) LeMay, Oconto; a sister Jane VanHulle, Oconto; a brother-in-law Donald (Wanda) Snyder, Pittsfield, IL and many nieces, nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her stepfather George Christl; a brother Bernard; a daughter Kathy; and son-in-law Richard Anders. The family will greet relatives and friends from 10-11 AM Wednesday at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Kingsford, MI. Memorial Service 11 AM Wednesday August 8, 2012 at the Church with Rev.
