Helma Mayer, nee Duch, age 90, of Lombard, IL born in Crivitz, WI, died Friday, August 3, 2012. Beloved mother of Nancy (Daniel) Hess, Sally (Dale) Reed, Lisa (Frank) Wright; cherished grandmother of Matthew (Kirsten) Hess, Peter (Holly) Hess, Kimberly Hess, Christina and Michael Reed, Erica and Jessica Wright; a proud great-grandmother and cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews. Helma grew up on a farm outside of Crivitz, WI. She moved to Chicago as a young woman where she worked at the Wrigley Company before marrying her husband, Albert Mayer. Helma and Albert eventually settled in Lombard where Helma became a successful real estate agent for Coldwell Banker and Re/Max Realtors. Helma also owned her own real estate company. Helma loved real estate and she received many accolades during her career. After retiring at the age of 76, she enjoyed gardening, cooking, playing solitaire and treasured time spent with her family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Albert. Visitation will be held Friday, August 10th, from 3 to 9 p.m. at Knollcrest Funeral Home, 1500 S. Meyers Rd. (3 blks S. of Roosevelt), Lombard. Services will be Sunday, August 12th, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, 801 George St., Crivitz. Rev.
