Esther Sobeck 96, Lena went to the Lord on Monday August 20, 2012. She was born on November 17, 1917 in Pound to the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Broderick. On September 14, 1935 Esther married John Sobeck at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Spruce. He preceded her in death on November 10, 2004. Esther loved gardening and her greatest joy was cooking for serving food to the people she loved. Survivors include 5 children Eugene Sobeck, Lena; Lloyd (Lois) Sobeck, Pound; Pat (Vern) Marquardt, Lena; Daniel (Joan) Sobeck, Lena; and Darrell (Victoria) Sobeck, Green Bay; 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one infant daughter, a daughter-in-law Doris Sobeck, 3 sisters, and 3 brothers. Friends may call 9-11 AM Wednesday at St. Anne Catholic Church, Lena. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Wednesday August 22, 2012 at the Church with Father Celestine Byekwaso officiating. Burial will be at St. Charles Catholic Cemetery, Lena.
